Do It Yourself : Treatment of PimplesTopical
applications which can be applied to the skin directly are being widely
used in the treatment of pimples. Some of the topical medications that
are effective in the treatment of pimples include Metronidazole, Clindamycin,
Erythromycin, and Azelaic acid. Oral antibiotics such Tetracycline and
Minocycline are also widely used in the treatment of pimples. Both oral
or topical medications used for the treatment of pimples, take several
weeks or months to show maximum effect. Protopic ointment and Elidel
cream are two new non-steroidal topical medications used in the treatment
of pimples. These non-steroidal topical medications applied up to twice
daily, is most effective not only for the treatment of pimples but also
cures pustules.
The juice of one fresh lime added to a glass of boiled whole milk is one of the remedies that can be used for the treatment of pimples. Garlic juice with 3 parts water is an excellent cleansing agent which greatly helps the treatment of pimples. One teaspoon of groundnut oil mixed with an equal amount of lime juice can be used for the treatment of pimples. One teaspoon of honey mixed with water is one of the best remedies that can be used for the treatment of pimples. Fresh mint juice applied over the face every night is very effective in the treatment of pimples.
