Common Characteristics of ADHD SymptomsThe behaviors that indicate ADHD Symptoms can vary from person to person. The most common characteristics of ADHD Symptoms are inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsive behavior. ADHD Symptoms are not like a broken arm since no clear physical signs that can be seen in an x-ray or a lab test. ADHD Symptoms can only be identified by looking for certain characteristic behaviors.
The following activities of a child may look Like ADHD Symptoms, but not a child who is underachiever academically due to a learning disability and attention lapses caused by class room botheration and / or hearing problem leads to unresponsive behavior. These behaviors in and of themselves do not necessarily indicate ADHD Symptoms. With ADHD Symptoms, the student will show one or more than one of these behaviors persistently over time and they will be very obvious to parents and teachers. The ADHD Symptoms will interfere with social relationships and academic performance. ADHD Symptoms are not usually caused by too much TV watching or food allergies or excess sugar and poor home life or poor schools.
