Known causes of bedwettingBedwetting is a common problem that is faced most of the children. Parents also sometimes worry about the child who bedwets. Children below 6 years of age are the most affected by bedwetting. The causes of bedwetting can be both physical and heredity. Physical causes of bedwetting are related to the maturity of the bladder.
Deficiency in antidiuretic hormone could be one of the causes of bedwetting. This hormone is responsible for making the urine concentrated so that it does not spill out of the bladder. Lack of this hormone would be one of the causes of bedwetting in children. The causes of bedwetting are to be properly diagnosed before starting any treatment for the children who bedwet.Emotional and family problems are also one among the causes of bedwetting in children. If these problems are sorted out some of the children would stop bedwetting. Fear in dreams would also be one of the causes of bedwetting. Parents and other who are with the child should not punish or humiliate the child for bedwetting. They have to find out the causes of bedwetting and then act accordingly to sort out the problem. Bladder control therapy are also used to control the bladder and restrain from urinating during day time. This should be practiced at the advice of a doctor. Improper behaviour or improper routine in taking foods may also be one among the causes of bedwetting. Taking more of liquid food before going to bed would be helpful in preventing bedwetting to some extent.
