Wanting to sleep with the mother in her room is one of the other symptoms of childhood separation anxiety disorder. Finding it hard to go to sleep, being afraid of the dark and of having nightmares, being afraid of sleeping away from home are some of the other common symptoms of childhood separation anxiety disorder. Feeling very shy and having trouble meeting new people is one of the other symptoms of childhood separation anxiety disorder. A child getting headaches, stomachaches, or body aches when starting to think about being away from the mother is one of the other symptoms of childhood separation anxiety disorder.
