Fresh green onion is taken separately and add to this freshly purchased ginger roots. Now add two cups of water and boil it for ten to fifteen minutes and then take the vessel out of flame and keep it separately. After ten minutes, take a cup from this mixture and have it while it is in warm state. It will be an added advantage if about two to three teaspoonful of honey is also mixed to this. Ginseng extract is also used as herbal remedy for cold/flu.
Cayenne pepper and garlic may be used along with lemon in the form of tea and this will be considered as a herbal remedy for cold/flu. Astragalus root is often used to stimulate the immune status of an individual affected by cold/flu. As herbal remedy for cold/flu, tincture is prepared from echinacea roots. Echinacea roots have grain alcohol that is being used as a herbal remedy for cold/flu. People should be able to check up whether the herbal preparation is produced from the herbs that are not associated with usage of any kind of pesticides or artificial fertilizers. Even a combination of sage leaves, boiled barley water along with honey makes a better herbal remedy for cold/flu.
