What are the Reasons for Hair Loss in a Woman?

However, such loss of hair will stop the moment you stop taking the medicines or once the treatment is over.

To improve your knowledge about the medications that can cause hair loss in a woman learn more about medicines for blood thinning, chemotherapy medicines, anti-depressants, medicines used for gout, birth control pills, and an excess dose of vitamin A.

Besides these medicines, certain infections that any woman may commonly acquire can cause hair loss in a woman.

For example fungal infections is known to result in hair loss both in women and in children and once treatment is taken for fungal infection, then there will be hair growth again.

Effects of Diseases

The hair loss in a woman can also occur due to various underlying disease conditions such as diabetes or lupus.

In majority of the disease conditions, there will be hair loss and it is always better for the women to identify the underlying reasons for hair loss and take the correct corrective treatment for curing the disease and to regain the lost hair.

Many of the underlying reasons for hair loss in a woman are treatable if diagnosed correctly in its early stages and appropriate medicines are taken.

In case you are pregnant, be prepared to lose few strands of your hair after delivery and you need not worry about the situation as you will grow back your lost hair once your body hormonal level reaches the pre-pregnancy stage.

However, if you lose hair without any proper or understandable reasons, then you should consult your doctor immediately and take corrective treatment after diagnosis.
