Effective home remedies for falling hair

Most of the people suffering from hair falling prefer home remedies rather than chemical drugs due to the advantage of having no side effects.

There is no sure fire way to prevent all hair loss; however, there are some methods, which are have been used for some people. In early stages of hair falling, the hair growth can be stimulated by massage, since blood and oxygen flow to the scalp must be healthy in order for hair to grow. Hence massage and aromatherapy is found to be effective in controlling hair loss. Aroma therapists blend six drops each of lavender and bay essential oils in a base of four ounces of either almond, sesame or soybean oil massaged into scalp and allowed to act for 20 minutes.

After 20 minutes of stand, the hair and scalp should be washed with your normal shampoo mixed with three drops of bay essential oil. Native Americans, Indians and many in the Caribbean to promote healthy hair and prevent hair loss have used Aloe Vera. Aloe’s positive effects on the skin are well known, and likewise it can help the scalp by healing it and balancing the pH level of the scalp while cleansing the pores. Traditional Aloe Vera shampoo is prepared by mixing Aloe Vera gel with a small amount of wheat germ oil and coconut milk and has traditionally shown great benefit.

External use of traditional herbs viz., Sage and Rosemary showed beneficial effects on hair falling. Rosemary, sage, peach leaf, nettle and burdock are boiled altogether in water. Then strain the loose herbs from the liquid and use the liquid to wash the hair daily. This liquid helps to promote a clean scalp, stimulation of the hair root, and thickening hair. These remedies take time to show a visible change but are effective for some people. The best point concerning a home remedy is that you have many options and, if you think that a particular ingredient does not suit you, you can try an alternative. You should give each remedy at least a week before trying another.
