Some Common Hair Removal CreamA hair removal cream is a chemical that is used to dissolve the hair proteins in the hair so that the hair is detached from the skin. After dissolving it forms a gel like substance on the skin which is wiped off using a cloth to remove hairs from the skin.
Hence before using a hair removal cream it has to be applied to a small area of the skin and tested. If there is no irritation or burns in that small area of the skin, the hair removal cream can be applied to a larger area for hair removal. There are many creams available in the market under different brand names. Using a hair removal cream is very easy. All you have to do is to just apply cream to the area from which you are going to remove the hairs. Leave it for sometime as specified in the guidelines for usage of that cream. After the time elapses remove the cream with the help of a clean cloth to remove the hairs from the area. A chemical called thioglycolate mixed with sodium hydroxide or calcium hydroxide is found in the hair removal cream. This chemical disrupts the chemical bonds that hold skin and hair cells together. The irritation caused by this hair removal cream is because they sometimes melt away the skin cells also. Hence a proper cream has to be chosen for usage for a particular skin type.
