An Overview to Hair Removal TechniqueHair removal is practiced from the ancient times. Shaving is an ancient technique for hair removal that is used by most of the men. Some of this hair removal technique is not suitable for women since this would leave their skin rough like men. Hence different hair removal technique is practiced for women alone.
Hair removal technique like waxing and sugaring are almost same except that the main ingredient used in wax or sugar paste. This main ingredient is applied to the hairs and a cotton strip is placed on the hair and rubbed in the direction of the hair growth. Then the strip is removed in the opposite direction of the hair growth to remove the hairs. This same process is used for sugaring hair removal technique also. There are other hair removal technique like threading and tweezing that are used for hair removal in eyebrows, nose, and to remove stray hairs in the face. Threading is a hair removal technique that involves placing cotton threads on the hairs to be removed and then twisting them so that the hairs are entangled in the thread. Once the hairs are entangled in the thread, the thread is pulled outwards so that the hair is pulled from the roots. This is an ancient technique that is practiced in the Middle East and the Indian sub-continent. This hair removal technique is still practiced in these areas. Tweezing is a technique that involves plucking of hairs from the root with the help of devices called tweezers. Laser treatment is a hair removal technique that is also used for hair removal. Laser treatment is costlier when compared to the other techniques.
