Heartburn as a known and severe problem nowadays, strictly avoid eating full stomach.Lying down with a full stomach can cause stomach contents to press harder against the LES, increasing the chances of refluxed food. So avoid eating within two three hours before bed time which is one of the heartburn prevention.

Many of the heart burn prevention depend upon food habits. Obesity increases abdominal pressure, which can then push stomach contents up into the esophagus. So reduction of extra pounds in your body is well known heartburn prevention. Lying down flat presses the stomach's contents against the LES. With the head higher than the stomach, gravity helps reduce this pressure elevating our head is one of the heartburn prevention.

Clothing that fits tightly around the abdomen will squeeze the stomach, forcing food up against the LES, and cause food to reflux into the esophagus. This shows that heartburn also depend upon clothing. Avoid wearing tight clothes as it is also heartburn prevention. If you are a smoker first avoid smoking, the chemicals in cigarette smoke weaken the LES as they pass from the lungs into the blood, avoiding smoke is better heartburn prevention. Alcohol relaxes the lower esophageal sphincter, allowing the reflux of stomach contents into the esophagus so avoiding alcohol is another famous heartburn prevention measure.
