Immunosuppressant medications can also be one of the causes for the immune system diseases. Consider the chemotherapy treatment for cancer. This treatment not only fights against the cancer cells but also the healthy cells found in the bone marrow and others parts of the immune system. There are immune system diseases called autoimmune diseases in which the immune system fights against the bodys healthy organs and its own tissues as if they were foreign invaders. Lupus is one of the immune system diseases that cause muscle and joint pain and inflammation. This is one of the autoimmune diseases. This is a chronic disease. Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis is also one of the immune system diseases in which the immune system treats the knee joints, hand and foot joints as foreign tissue and attacks them. Damage to the skin, joints, and internal organs are done by one of the immune system diseases called the Scleroderma. Ankylosing spondylitis and Juvenile dermatomyositis are the other autoimmune diseases.
