Toe Nail fungus is a fungal infection of the nail[toe nail].The toe nail fungus is also called as Onychomycosis. The toe nail fungus is a condition in which the toe nail becomes dark or yellow.

There will be foul smell. The discoloration of the nail gives a bad look .the toe nail fungus can be removed by using any one of the following treatment. Nail salon – acrylic will be applied over the toenails. They can put a fake nail . Another suggestion would be to cut the nail down to the cuticle. Then use a fungus spray. The nail will not grow back . Lamasil –should be taken orally for 3 months . The possible side effect is liver damage. Sporanox-we need to take it for 3 months. . It also causes liver damage.

Tea Tree oil- We should take several times a day for 2-3 months. Toe nail fungus will be cleared .It is applied on the nails .This will treat toe nail fungus. Some olive oil can be added if needed.. Olive leaf extract an excellent internal anti-fungal agent. We can remove the toenails along with the nail bed. This will prevent them growing back. Grapefruit seed extract- this can be used on toenail fungus. However, that it can take up to a year of daily treatment.

Vinegar-This is the cheapest remedy. Vinegar is 5% acetic acid. It prevents fungus from growing. Just take a little and spread it around the toenail. We should make sure that it work into the cuticle and underneath the toenail.. Vicks Vaporub-we must apply some Vicks Vaporub on your toenail each day. We should make sure to get the whole nail, including the base. One minus point is that Vicks Vaporub turns the nail dark.

Oil of Oregano-we have to apply it on the infected toenail two times per day and watch the toenail get better as it grows out. Then we can cut the infected part away as it grows out. The Drawback here is a little irritation on the skin. Pau d'arco and Goldenseal-The use of both of these mixed together also removes toe nail fungus. We should apply this over the infected nail.. But it is more expensive than the Tea Tree Oil. -Colloidal Silver-Colloidal Silver is known to be anti-fungus.
