Proven Stress Relieving MethodsThe stress response of the body is destined to protect and support us. When a physical or mental event threatens this equilibrium, we react to it. This process is often referred to as the "fight or flight response." We prepare for physical action in order to confront or flee a threat.
Most modern stresses, however, do not call for either fight or flight. Our experience of stress is generally related to how we respond to an event, not to the event itself. Our ancestors responded to stressful ordeals in this fashion. A sad but true fact is that everybody is looking at way to relieve their stress as they feel it is beyond their grasp. And the simplest way to find relief from stress is by simply letting go of it by indulging in some or the other activity that brings peace to the mind. If you come across a stressful environment your heartbeat speeds up; your blood pressure increases; your breathing quickens. Most modern stresses, however, do not call for either fight or flight. Taking sleeping pills or sedatives can relieve the stress. But it is not a good way to reduce the stress. The main stress relieving measures are breathing exercises, meditation & giving time to prayer. Playing games or partying with old pals also help to relieve stress. Even daily walking, sports activities and stretching exercises holds good for relieving stress. Concentration
on your favorable hobbies such as painting, gardening, bird watching,
fishing will definitely have a good response in relieving stress. Inclusion
of balanced protein diet such as fruits, vegetables in your daily food
always promotes good health and can help you counter effects of high
stress jobs. Last but not least is the laughter therapy. Taking a short
nap (but dont do this one while driving!) also definitely reduce
the stress. Other common strategies to reduce stress are keeping the
mind without tension. Yoga, Meditation, Exercise and Other Stress Reducing
Activities also favors in stress reduction.
