One of the natural remedy for sore throat and the old method that gives good results is gargling. Gargling with water and other fluids are found to remove the toxins from the throat and it is found to soothe the throat. Plain water can be used for gargling. Water is to be held at the back of the throat for sometime and then the water should be spit out.

Many herbs and combinations of these herbs are used as a natural remedy for sore throat. Elm lozenges available at health stores are also used as a natural remedy for sore throat.

Another natural remedy for sore throat is to mix Echinacea and Goldenseal in water and use this as a spray. Spray this solution at the back of the throat. This has anti microbial and anti inflammatory properties and serves well as a natural remedy for sore throat. Another natural remedy for sore throat that has these properties is Honey.

Take a spoon of honey and experience the soothing properties it has. Inhaling eucalyptus oil is also one of the natural remedy for sore throats. Licorice root and elm bark can be used to prepare a tea or a solution prepared from them can be used to gargle. These herbs have anti inflammatory properties which is a natural remedy for sore throat. To reduce the swollen tissues of the sore throat you can also gargle a solution or tea prepared from sage or raspberry left.
