How to Handle the Undeterred Hepatitis C Infection SpreadHepatitis
c is one of the serious infections which get transmitted from one person
to the other by way of blood transfusion. This infection was termed
as hepatitis c in the year 1989. There are more than four million people infected in mighty United States of America alone. Nearly hundred and seventy millions people are infected globally. Hepatitis c infection is little different from most of the infection. This infection in most of the patients doesnt show any discomforts or symptoms. This poses problems in diagnosing the infection. Only during the acute stage of infection, symptoms like joint pain, stomach up set etc shows up. Since these symptoms are not peculiar, relating them to hepatitis c infection is very difficult. Nearly in 25 percent of the people the infection gets cleared automatically before attempting any kind of treatment. This is known as spontaneous auto clearance. In the rest of the people the infection turns chronic. During that chronic stage there will not be any symptoms exhibited. The person will show up the symptoms only after twenty twenty five years. Only then the physician will find out the hepatitis c infection through blood test. Till that time they person will be harboring the virus unknowingly. Earlier the doctors were not treating the patients with acute hepatitis c infection. The reason is that they were of the opinion that the infection will disappear on their own. But the recent studies suggest that such feeling is absolutely wrong. The studies further asserts that If the hepatitis c infection is treated in early stages of infection, the rate of success is quite high, almost ninety percent. Besides that the duration of the treatment will be exactly the half. The biggest danger of the hepatitis c infection is not the symptoms but the possible development of killer disease conditions such as liver cancer and liver cirrhosis. But these life threatening diseases require at least 20 years for the development. In case the person who is infected with hepatitis c is 50 years old [or more], then there is no need for treatment because he/she will face natural death sooner than the liver cirrhosis and liver cancer development. Nearly hundred and fifty thousand people become the victims of hepatitis c infection each year in America alone. Then one can think of the speed of spread of this infection. By any
chance the person infected with hepatitis c in found to have HIV infection
too, then the treatment is difficult and the suffering of the person
will be certainly more. Till then
one has to rely on interferon treatment only. The interferon treatment
is found to be very effective. In children interferon can be given alone
but in adults and others it needs to be combined with other medicines. | Various complications in viral hepatatis | Different types of viral hepatitis | Treatment process of viral hepatitis | What are the various Causative organisms in viral hepatitis | How to treat & prevent viral hepatitis | What is Prognosis in viral hepatitis | Conceived your First Baby with Hepatitis C in your Blood? | Got Diagnosed for Hepatitis C Infection? | The Difficult Task of Diagnosing Hepatitis C in Aged People | How to deal with Emotionally Disturbed Hepatitis C Infected Persons | How to Handle the Undeterred Hepatitis C Infection Spread | Know the Multiple Entry Routes of Hepatitis C Infection | How to Trap and Fix Eluding Hepatitis C Symptoms in a Person | Correlativity between Hepatitis C and HIV Infection | Varied Treatment Options for Your Hepatitis C Infection | How Young Children Play Safe with Hepatitis C Viral Infection | |
