Effective motion sickness cures
Motion sickness is a normal response to real, perceived, or anticipated movement. People tend to experience motion sickness on a moving boat, train, airplane, automobile, or amusement park rides.
Although this condition is fairly common and only a minor nuisance for the occasional traveler, it may be incapacitating for people with an occupation that requires constant movement, such as a flight attendant, pilot, astronaut, or ship crew member. Symptoms generally consist of dizziness, fatigue, and nausea, which may progress to vomiting. Fortunately, most symptoms disappear once the journey is over.
way to treat motion sickness is to stop the motion. If you can't stop
the motion, sit or lie down in an area with the least motion. In an
airplane, try to sit near the wings; on a ship, stay on the deck and
look at the horizon, or, if inside, move to the center of the craft.
Most of the medicines should be given before travel. The medicines may
be sedatives, which will take care of the motion effect. The others
are for reducing vomiting and nausea.
The common medicaments used for preventing motion sickness are Scopolamine patch (Transderm Scop), Antihistamines such as dimenhydrinate (Dramamine), diphenhydramine (Benadryl), cyclizine (Marezine), buclizine (Bucladin-S Softabs), and meclizine (such as Antivert) and Promethazine hydrochloride (Anergan, Phenergan). Some people are allergic to the allopathic medicine, so they prefer alternative medicine. The scientific evidence for these alternative medicaments are minimal, but trying proves no harm at all.
Acupressure bands are also being used to cure motion sickness. Ginger is to be considered as a best medicament to cure motion sickness. As a prophylactic measure, ride your eyes always in the same motion that your body and inner ears feel e.g. sit in the front seat of the car and look at the distant scenery; go up on the deck of the ship and watch the horizon; sit by the window of the airplane and look outside. While you are going by airplane choose always the seat over the wings where motion is least.
